The Daya Sarana Development Foundation held two more events in Ampara at the weekend under its educational and health assistance programmes.
Seminars were held at Dehiattakandiya and Ampara for students from the district who sit for the GCE O/L examination this year. More than 2,000 students participated in the seminars, which focused on maths, science, Sinhala and English subjects.
A health clinic and a free distribution of spectacles took place at Navagiriya Vidyalaya in Uhana.
Representing the Foundation’s founders minister Daya Gamage and deputy minister Dr. Anoma Gamage on these occasions was provincial councilor Manjula Fernando.
